Dance Etiquette Guide
Try to be punctual
Please try arriving 15 minutes early to the venue. We will start the dance class on time, and it is important to not miss the warm up, as this helps prevent injuries. If you do arrive late, please warm up on the side before participating. If you arrive significantly late, please note the teacher will not reteach the earlier moves that have already been taught.
Be aware of space and visibility
If you’re shorter, feel free to move toward the front so you can see clearly. If you’re taller, be mindful not to block others’ view of the teacher or mirror.
Use the front space with confidence
Don’t be shy about standing closer to the mirror or on the teacher’s line—this helps you see details and improves your learning.
Respect group turns
When dancing in smaller groups (split by the teacher), wait until it’s your group’s turn. You can mark the routine quietly in place, but avoid going full out to keep space and focus for the group performing.
Support your fellow dancersBe friendly, cheer for each other, and offer encouragement. If someone asks for help filming, please lend a hand.
Be kind and supportive
Be kind and supportive towards other students. Please cheer for other when they dance. Help each other for filming.
Keep pathways clear
Avoid leaving bags, coats, or water bottles in dance areas—store them neatly to the side. Otherwise it would be a tripping hazards.
Stay present and attentive
Limit side conversations when the teacher is speaking or demonstrating—this keeps the atmosphere focused and respectful.
